Now that I’m done with the butai reports, I can finally start to talk about my trip. It was my first trip with bf-san to Japan, and our 3rd trip together. But this was his first time to Japan so again I played tour guide heh~ Over the 10 days or so, I re-visited places, but also went to places for the first time. It was perhaps the most ‘exciting’ trip, literally – thanks to the rollercoasters lol

Sorry I took so long to post this. I think Best Stage has a really good report and pictures of the regular shows. They have lovely shots of all the main kabuki scenes.

I’m sorry for the bad quality I haven’t torn apart the mag yet~

Takizawa film: Prologue to Masakado

The curtains raised, and the Takizawa short film played on the screen.

The main actor in the film is Yamamoto Ryota. He really does look like Yamada Ryosuke of HSJ in this film lol. He’s dressed in modern day casual shirt and jeans, and climbed up a ladder in a deserted house, up to the attic. There was a samurai headgear and a katana placed up there… and sometimes the film was shown from the headgear’s POV.

It’s a little eerie… and finally when Yamamoto touched the katana, he clutches his head in pain, and many scenes of killings, blood splashes, etc from the past flashed back…

Finally there was a close up of Masakado (Takki) – we can see his eye, and I remember it’s slightly reddish, and a scene from the past – of Masakado standing on a pathway in his full samurai headgear & armour.

The film ended there, and we’re brought back into the past, onto the stage…

1) There is a new CM for Takara Can Chu-Hi “Jikashibori” pineapple flavour. Fans said that they’ve seen about 3 different versions of it. I think it’s similar to the lemon one, just that there’s a Pineapple flavour (new release) at the end or something…

2) There will be Takizawa Kabuki stage reports in the Best Stage and Look at Star July 2010 issues. These magazines will be released tomorrow.

3) In last week’s Shounen Club Premium, there was the Takizawa Kabuki stage report in the “works” section. I’ve only seen a small clip of it so far, but I hope someone will post and share a good quality one soon. They showed footage from opening show’s curtain call – Takki having a plaster over his eyebrow. Takki said he & Yara entered the jimusho on the same day. Both of them were so small in size back then, and they are still small now *lol*, but their hearts have grown up :)

The images in the header are taken from the pamphlet of Takisama (Tackey Summer) Concert last year… and the images I chose are happy and relaxing ones! 1) coz Takizawa-sama finally has time to relax after an exhausting first half of 2010! 2) coz I’m having a “relaxing” time myself before starting the job hunt 3) I miss Takisamacon! And still upset it wasn’t recorded on DVD~ I hope there’ll be another solocon this year AND it’ll be recorded on DVD!!
