I didn’t translate Genba reports 5, 8, and 9 because they didn’t even mention Takki… but 5 was about the rest of the casts’ photo shoots. 8 was about a “birthday rush.” Apparently, a lot of the people on the cast had their birthdays at around the same time. And 9 was about more drama filming… a 2-month old Wan-chan even made its TV debut! kawaii~~

Anyways, i’ve only translated the Takki parts in the rest of the Genba. Enjoy~

“Its summer! Its Sacas! Its Takki!”

The second year of the Akasaka Sacas Summer event has finally begun! And “Wan Wan’s” Takizawa Hideaki-san made an appearance in the opening ceremony, an event featured by the Summer Sacas’09 Sacas Water Park. Ta-da!!

The sudden appearance of Takizawa-san gave rise to a swirl of cheers from the crowd that gathered. Approximately 500 people were at this event which was held by the water gate. By the way, we had the honor of having TBS announcer Hasumi as the moderator… and it seems like Hasumi and Takizawa-san were classmates. At one point, he even asked “Can i call you Takki?”

(picture #2)

Covered in Ousama no Brunch, it wasnt the usual ribbon-cutting opening ceremony, but a button-pressing one. And the moment Takizawa-san pushed the button, it started a waterfall that was set up around the perimeter of the stage. That was certainly “Takki’s flowing taki (waterfall).” (laughs)

Many people came to the event, and team Wan Wan was also hyped up for Summer Sacas ’09, so we hope you all enjoyed it!

Lastly, special doughnuts were made to compliment, not necessarily Akasaka Sacas, but Takizawa-san’s appearance at the opening event. That is quite amazing!! The words “Takki” were specially written on the donuts!! That was a super rare kind of doughnut, and even Takizawa-san voiced how impressed he was about it. By the way, those donuts quickly made their way to Takizawa-san and the staff’s stomachs…

“Poster Photo Shoot”

Has everyone seen the Orthros no Inu posters that have been posted around town? The picture for the poster is now being used on the front page of our site, which had been renewed the other day. This is a little late, but we’d like to talk about the behind the scenes (details) of the poster photo shoot.

Going back to June 2nd (Tuesday) at a particular location within Tokyo. The poster photo shoot for Orthros no Inu began on a day that was blessed with fine weather.

(The first to do the shoot was Nishikido-san) Then the next to arrive at the studio was the lead for “Wan Wan,” our very own, Takizawa Hideaki-san. Its his first evil role, so he was dressed completely in black. Looking at Nishikido-san’s picture which was taken earlier, Takizawa-san adjusted the position and angle of his arm to match Nishikido’s pose. With a serious gaze, he stared into the camera.

When it came time for a body shot, there was a moment when Takizawa-san made a different pose by just simply bending his knee. Not overlooking a single movement made by the main focus, the cameraman-san said “Just now, you bent your knees, didnt you? That looks good ne.” By the way, Ryuuzaki was wearing a long coat, so they also shot photos of him as the wind blew against his coat.

“Crank-in Rush”

We’d like to talk about what happened at the “Wan Wan” crank-in (start of filming)!

Finally, what everyone’s been waiting for. Takizawa Hideaki-san’s crank-in. They decided that the opening scene would be a rain scene, but like what Takizawa-san has said in his interviews with TV magazines, the crank-in kept getting postponed. If they were going to make it rain anyways, wouldn’t it have been better if they had filmed while it was actually raining? But actually, it wouldn’t have worked because the cameras and the other equipment used for lighting and sound would’ve gotten wet. Therefore, they had to use artificial rain and natural rain became “NG” (not good). On the set, there are many things that the staff have to worry about ne.

Director Katou Shin, whom was in charge of Episodes 1 and 2, will now pass the baton to Director Imai Natsuki, who is in charge of Episodes 3 and 4. Please continue to support Orthros no Inu until autumn!

  1. For some reason, a comment I made earlier does not appear, maybe I forgot to “submit”, in which case, gomen!

Anyway, Bonchan, I was thanking you for the translation, and saying that some of us wouldn’t mind a taste of those special Takki donuts…

  2. And I just remembered, I was also wondering why they had 2 different directors for 2 successive sets of episodes… is it going to continue? It seems odd…
