Recently, Takizawa Kabuki ended, and usually after that, I would go on a trip abroad… but I’d like to tell you today about what I was doing.
So, after the final show, I honestly wanted to go, but one day, I received a call from my sister asking me to plan her wedding. That was so sudden!

「Good evening! This is Takizawa Denpajou’s Takizawa Hideaki! In April and May, there is Takizawa Kabuki, and since it’s already March, rehearsals have (already) started. This is the first time I’ll be producing / directing a play. It feels like I’m debuting as a director ne~ But it is tough. It’s not just about making demands for all of the things that I want done. But it’s more like… If I don’t express how I want everything to be done (even down to the smallest details), nothing will happen.

「Good evening! This is Takizawa Denpajou’s Takizawa Hideaki! Shinshun Jinsei Kakumei has also ended. I always talk about the finale parties on this radio show, and of course I’ll do it again this year. On the last day, after we finished the last show of Mori-san’s Jinsei Kakumei, we headed to the first party location. Of course, more than anyone, we wanted the zachou to start the toast, right? The zachou for Jinsei Kakumei is Mori Mitsuko-san, but we thought that it might be a little…. if we asked her to come (all the way to where we were)… so I asked her in advance if she would let me shoot a video of her making a toast. I showed the video at the party venue and everyone faced the screen and said “Cheers!!”

The ramen restaurant that I’ve been going to for about a year now… the one that inspired the Yo! Iro-otoko corner…. I went there again recently. When I got there, (there was no one else in the restaurant so) it once again ended up being a one-on-one between me and the oyaji. To which I thought “Oh! This is going to be interesting~”

Well, today, we’re out of the Nippon Housou studio and we’re currently airing from the dressing room of Jinsei Kakumei and Takizawa Kakumei, which are currently playing at the Teikoku Gekijou. Well, three weeks have already passed since we’ve entered 2010, but I am still not feeling the spirit of the new year. What is this… this strange feeling… Last year, we also did Takizawa Kakumei and we also did it starting from the very beginning of the new year. But I am enjoying my long-waited co-performance with Mori-san. If there’s anyone who has not seen the play yet, I would certainly like for you to come.

I’m a little late, but for the countdown, I am doing rough translations of Denpajou shows that have aired since the beginning of 2010. Decided to skip some shows because the guest chats would’ve taken too long to translate word-for-word. But I will be translating the most interesting parts from the opening talks, Shin Takiteo and Danwashitsu Takizawawa (談話室・滝沢話). First up is a translation of Denpajou from January 9th. Yoroshiku~
