Marching J Charity Baseball Tournament

Here are some tidbits about Takki @ the fundraising event!

  • Seems like Takki cut his hair short and dyed it back to brown! Fans said it looked very soft and fluffy~ Others said that he shaved the right side of his head (similar to his hairstyle during Ho!Summer), but this was only noticeable when he had his cap on. Whether or not this is true… we’ll just have to wait for the WS clips to see.
  • Takki was the captain of the red team. And as the captains, he and Kame were also the speakers during the awards ceremony.
  • Katori Shingo-san (SMAP) was also at the event and did an interview with Takki.
  • Unfortunately, the Red Team lost 9 to 10…
  • The event ended at around 17:50.
  • Some people at the bbs said that there will be footage of the event on FujiTV’s “Oja Map” on July 4th.

[updated @ 7:29 am]

  • According to Nikkansports, over 200 members of Johnny’s attended this event.
  • The ticket/entry fee was 4,500 yen. Subtracting the amount needed for operating expenses, the rest will be donated through the Marching J relief fund. Although they didn’t say how much in total was collected at this single event, it is said that at least 45,000 fans showed up to show their support. (So we’re looking at approx. 202,500,000 yen?)
  • A little more info about Takki’s new hairstyle…it seems like he cut the front and the sides, but left the back long.
  • The number on the back of Takki’s jersey was 8 (the same as last year). He was the 6th batter and he also played second base.
  • Katori-san’s interview with Takki was quite long, but this is good news for us because most of it will be aired on “Oja Map.” Anyway, something really cute happened in the middle of the interview~ Koichi-san (Kinki Kids) and Katori-san started talking about a “marriage proposal” competition they did in the past. Then all of the sudden, they both extended their hands towards Takki, prompting him to choose one over the other. And Takki stood there with his hand on his chin, thinking about who to choose! XD
  • On the scoreboard, everyone was addressed by their last names… except for Takki… who was addressed as “Takki” lol
  • I don’t know much about baseball… so I can only translate the parts that I understand ^^; Btw, you don’t know how many times I had to google these baseball terms… LOL

  • In the third inning, Takki was on the field. He caught the ball and got one of his opponents out~ :D
  • Then, he reached home plate in the 5th inning!! This brought the team up 5 points, making the total 9 : 7!
  • In the 6th inning, Kame was pitcher and Takki whacked the ball to center field!! But unfortunately, Nagano-kun was there and caught the ball…
  • Then finally, in the last few minutes of the 9th inning, it was 9 : 9 and there was already a runner on 3rd base. The batter hit the ball towards Takki, who was guarding second base, and he caught it!! And even though he immediately threw it home, it was just a second too late… the runner made it to home plate and the White Team won :(

  1. Bon, thanks for the info! I look forward to seeing Tono with brown hair again.

But I hope he didn’t shave one side of his head! I don’t understand how it could be noticeable only when he had his cap on: doesn’t the cap hide his hair???

  2. i know nothing about baseball either.
Tono may say it in radio later ?sth like he is not good at baseball but was team captain ?^_^
    waiting for tv broadcasting.
