Seems like T&T has a new song called “Tomo yo” and it’s been chosen to be one of the feature songs of NHK’s “Minna no Uta” for August and September.
For those who have never heard of Minna no Uta, it is (according to wikipedia) a “five minute NHK TV and radio program broadcasting several times daily since 1961. The program is generally used as filler at the end of regular television programs… The program is used to introduce new songs from popular and new singers…”
Anyway, “Tomo yo” was composed by a Korean songwriter called Yoo Hae Joon. Pained by the devastation in Tohoku Japan, it inspired him to write this song about eternal friendship. The lyrics were written by a Japanese lyricist called Mori Chiyoko-san.
　
On a more personal note, where’s the solo album that we’ve been wishing for? I am craving for more of Takki’s self-composed songs!! Especially if it’s a song about “turning your life around” and “facing the future.” That would be so sweet… I’m sure a song like that would give his Tohoku fans a great boost of strength as they’re trying to rebuild their lives. Even though they might not be able to go see him, I bet hearing his voice would really help :)

Bon-chan, thanks for digging up this tidbit. It is unfortunate that digging seems to be what one has to do these days to find out anything about Takki or T & T… When Kat-tun comes out with some new song like that, it is right away on Tokyohive or other outfit.
And yes, where is the solo album?
Not to speak of all the things we have been waiting for? And if the unit is still functioning, why don’t they come out with more new songs? I like the oldies, but I want some new ones, and preferably more inspiring than Ai wa Takaramono.
