Takki Tidbits

Many of you should have already received the latest email from Johnny’s International ne! But for those who haven’t… Takizawa Kabuki balloting is now open to international fans!!

The ticket price is the standard 12,000 yen, with a handling charge of 900 yen for each application. You can apply to more than one show*** And this time, Jticket is working with JTB Global & Travel, so for the first time ever, Takki fans can pay for their ballots via credit card! Very good news for us ne! ^^

The balloting/registration deadline is February 28, if you’re planning to go to Kabuki, you better hurry over to this page! Good luck everyone :)

*** This is a reply I received from JTB in regards to the number of tickets that we can win :

  • “If you request tickets for multiple shows, as a result of the lottery you could actually be able to attend all of them. However, be aware that if, for example, you request tickets for 4 different shows and are notified that tickets are available for 2 of them, you will be required to pay for and attend both available shows. For this reason, we ask you to request tickets only for the shows you are sure you will be able to attend.”

Glad they’re not making us choose only ONE show to go to! So once again, good luck to all of those who balloted! But of course, knowing JE, we must all be prepared for the possibility that we might not get the prettiest of seats. But I think it really depends on what your priorities are… if you just want a ticket (or just want to be at the show no matter what) then this is probably the best choice for you :)

  1. fyi.. its not really the first time with the credit card thingy.. they had it for kanjani 8 ticket request before.. but allowing to buy more than one show is a first.. or maybe not, i can be wrong. wonder why the sp children shows are not catered to overseas fans. thanks,

  2. Hi everyone..
i emailed JTB and asked specifically what they meant by “can apply for more than one show”
they replied that it actually meant you can, let say, request for 4 different dates, but ultimately if you win tickets, you will only win ONE of the dates u picked…

    WISH ME LUCK!!!! ♥

    1. Thanks for the info, Kitty! I think that’s total BS… JE is always so unfair to us overseas fans!! But nevertheless, I wish you good luck~ I hope you get the show you’re aiming for :)

  3. Quick question… When they say “credit card”, that’s really a true credit card they mean? Not a regular debit card (VISA) that I usually use when buying stuff on the Internet? Not that I have a chance to go on this tour, but it’s good to know for the future…

    1. we haven’t tried it yet, but i think yes, it’s a ‘true’ credit card. though i’m not really sure if i got your question right, since credit cards can also be VISA that you use to buy stuff on the internet.

    2. Miri, IF i WIN the chance to purchase tickets.. i’ll let you know.. lol.. ^^
but i’m assuming also that it’ll have to be a regular credit card, not the debit visa card..

  4. correct me if i am wrong. They normally give out the better seats to the FC members. I don’t recommended we purchase the tickets via this programme as the seats are not good enough.(they didn’t open the kids shows and first day show to us either….)unfair~we can bid for the tickets via Yahoo Auction, i perfer pay more to get a good seat!

    1. No I think you’re totally right, Stella! The pro side of Jticket is that we might get to ballot first and we might get to know our results a little earlier, but the con side is… our tickets might suck lol

But there have been cases where overseas fans have gotten good seats via Jticket… but of course, the chances of that are higher if you’re only buying one ticket versus buying for 2 or 4.

I appreciate that JE is trying to give international fans a chance to get tickets… Cause I mean, a few years ago, we didn’t have any options at all! But sometimes, it’s still really unfair ne…

  5. FC members pay annual fees(per artist/group) thus they are offered good/better/best seats.. but then, there are times that FC members cant hit/ballot tickets. buying tickets thru jticket international allows JE to gather information from which countries artist are popular. maybe thats the reason some JE talents are able to have concerts in particular countries only due to popular demand and/or number of people enthusiastic about ’em.. maybe takki will have a concert in ur neighbourhood sometime, in the near/far future.. just my two cents.

    1. i agree! ♥
we didn’t pay annual fees for the international system, so i’m not expecting good seats…
well at least for this kabuki, the theatre can only be “this” big, so i don’t mind as long as i can get tickets! ^^

  6. OMG.. I JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL THAT THEY GAVE ME A WRONG ANSWER TO MY INQUIRIES.. SO I GAVE OUT WRONG INFORMATION (ABOVE).

We CAN request for more than one show, so we do can get a chance to buy tickets for more than one show.

Now I’m screwed because I entered for 3 nights.. and i only wanted to go to ONE.. not like i’m that lucky.. but WHAT IF?! I hope they can fix for me….

    1. omg, I just received it too… So we can actually win all the shows we requested for? Thank you JE for giving me a heartattack and nervous breakdown yesterday XD

Hmmm, but I don’t think you can fix it… komarimasu ne. And I was told that we’re actually balloting before the Japanese fans, so our chances of winning are slightly higher? Anyway, I hope everything works out for you!

      1. i hope something could be worked out.. as my nihongo level is super low so i really can’t be going for 3!! [i mean.. concert is different.. ]

    2. wah… if u really win all 3, you can write back to tell them you were misled by their initial email~~ i think they have no reason not to cancel the other 2 shows for u…

      1. thanks! i hope they think like us!!
i already emailed back right away with the situation, so hopefully that can still be corrected.
        *fingers crossed*

      2. It is written that you cant cancel once request is submitted, same as previous balloting in jticket international.. hmm, hope they bend the rules once in a while. only 5-days waiting period this time neh.

  7. I agree with what dturs said. Jticket international opened the ballot for overseas fans not only providing us with convenience to purchase tickets, but also considering to collect information of fan distribution and how big the potential overseas market will be. I would definitely encourage our overseas fans to purchase at least one ticket via this channel. Takki is working hard on adapting the show contents so that people from different countries with different language skills to be able to enjoy it. We, in turn, need to send him the message that we do appreciate his work and talents!
