1) Today, someone (who was waiting for the 9:40 am Yamabiko shinkansen to Iwate) tweeted that she saw Takki at the Shinkansen platform in Tokyo Station. Then later in the day, a guy who was visiting Rikuzentakata city (in Iwate) tweeted that he ran into Takki and the other people he was with.
2) Shochiku Co. sent out an “email magazine” to its subscribers today, introducing the highlights of Takizawa Kabuki 2012. For Act 1, fans can expect the usual Hana Odori, shadow play, taiko drums, NEW MASK, and all the other scenes that Takizawa Kabuki is famous for. Then Act 2 will focus on Taira no Masakado… Basically, everything should be quite similar to last year’s performance. (This would explain why Takki hasn’t been rehearsing as much as he usually does…)
Other things that the email mentioned :
- The other day, Takki and the cast visited Kanda Myoujin to pray for safety and the success of Takizawa Kabuki.
- The 18:00 show on April 16 will be Kabuki’s 300th show!!
- A total of 50 Jrs will be participating in this year’s taiko performance.
- This year, Takki’s mentor/adviser is Uchikawa Ukon-san (a famous kabuki actor).
- They have upgraded the action and graphics in this year’s 4D flying performance.
3) On yesterday’s news, it was announced that a new stage play titled “Johnny’s World” will be showing at Teikoku Gekijou from November~December. If you include Takizawa Kakumei, SHOCK and Dream Boys, this means that 7 out of 12 months of every year, Teikoku Gekijou will be occupied with at least one JE play! Sugoi!!
This new stage play will feature Hey!Say!Jump, as well as other young Jr groups. It will be Johnny-san’s largest show yet and Takki will be participating as one of the main advisers, along with Koichi-kun (Kinki Kids) and Kame-kun (KATTUN). Takki will also make guest appearances during the play, but those dates have not yet been decided.
Thanks for all these updates!
I understand Takki has been very active helping out in Tohoku. So apparently he goes to Rikuzentakata. It is very good of him to do that, and do it privately.
Johnny-san must find those shows profitable in spite of their lavishness…
