Takki Tidbits

Here are some tidbits about the opening “family show” of Takizawa Kabuki on May 1, 2012.

• One of the very first things everyone noticed as they entered Nissay was the special “family version” decoration in the lobby (Picture from Twitter).
• The staff at the entrance passed out little flags to everyone who entered the venue (Picture from Twitter).
• As for the goods, here are pictures of the kinchaku (small pouch) and the keitai cleaner. Today, the goods were completely sold out within 30 minutes after the venue doors were opened.
• There were lots of cameras inside but don’t know if it’s for WS or for the DVD.

ACT 1

• During the regular Kabuki shows, there’s usually a sexy hadaka taiko drum performance after Revenger. But for the family shows, they’re skipping the taiko drums because of all the children in the audience. So today, immediately after Revenger, the Kansai Jrs came out to do the intro for the white face painting corner.
• As Tono was putting on the white makeup, Hamada-kun (of Kansai Jrs) went up to Tono and smelled the back of his neck!! Then Hamada-kun said “It smells like baby powder!” XD
• The intermission was slightly shorter than usual… it was 25 minutes instead of the usual 30 minutes.

ACT 2

• The usual “battle scene” music was playing in the bg as the stage curtains were lifted. Masakado-sama and Suteju (played by Kiriyama of Kansai Jrs) came running onto the stage, as though they were being chased by the enemy. But all of the sudden, they stopped and said “Wait, we ended this (segment) yesterday!” and the music for Kimagure Jet began!
• Kimagure Jet : Takki changed into the same pink outfit (with the pink pompoms!) from the 2010 concert tour. Fans said that a lot of people in the audience brought pompoms as well ^^
• HEY NOW : Takki performed this without the pompoms (I think he handed them to one of the Jrs?)
• Yamanotesen Sotomawari
• Mini speech from Takki
• Mask VTR : Similar to the VTRs from previous years. In the VTR, the audience heard a familiar voice of someone yelling “Cut! Cut!” and it was Kawai-kun from ABC-Z! But when the camera zoomed out, all the members of ABC-Z appeared on the screen! At the end of VTR, Kawai-kun yelled “music start!” and the intro to To Be began.
• To Be or Not To Be
• Kimi no Na wo Yobitai : During the song, the big screen on stage showed a list of names of all the children who were in the audience. Then the Jrs went out and invited some of the kids to the stage. They split into a “Kiriyama team” and a “Shigeoka team” and taught the kids the new furitsuke to Venus. Fans said Takki was wiggling his butt as he was in a half-sitting posture (it was part of the furitsuke? lol!).
• Venus (rap version? lol)
• Magic corner : Takki did a few magic tricks with coins. At the end of the trick, all the kids crowded around Takki and said “Choudai! Choudai!” which means “please give me (a coin)!” but Tono said “I need these for my job!” and “I’ll need them tomorrow” as he was holding the coins up high so that the kids couldn’t reach them XD kawaii~~~
• Mini MC by Kansai Jr : Here, Takki left the stage to change and the rest of the Jrs escorted the kids off the stage.
• Takizawa Rengou~ Takiranger : Takki appeared as Souchou from the back of the audience on the first floor and made his way down the aisle to center block Row C. Then he actually walked through Row C to get to the main aisle on the other side! Meanwhile, the Jrs went around and took pictures of/with the audience. Then Takki did a quick costume change and reappeared as Takiranger as he rode a kirakira bicycle back to the main stage? (sorry, the fan reports aren’t very clear… might need to reconfirm this).
• 4D flying & battle scene : during 4D flying, it was only Takiranger v.s. Sakuma-kun (a Jr dressed as a “yankee” delinquent). Then after that, Kansai Jrs appeared as “Smile Rangers” in red leopard print jackets and helped Takiranger defeat the yankees with their “nande yanen powers” LOL!
• Jr corner : Takki disappeared off stage and the Jrs performed 4 songs.
• HO!Summer : Takki reappeared. Jrs helped throw signed balls to the audience.
• One Day, One Dream

• REAL DX
• Shalala : At the end of the song, a mass of snow fell on top of Takki and the Jrs (like in the usual ending scene).
• With Love : On the big screen, they there was a smiley face（＾－＾）emoji at the end of the list of credits.

Omiokuri

• Takki and the four Kansai Jrs stood inside the lobby near the exit doors to wave everyone goodbye. (To be exact… if you’re looking in from the main entrance, they were standing by the stairs on the far right side of the lobby). They were standing in the following order : Hamada, Kiriyama, Takki, Shigeoka, and Kamiyama.
• The adults with children got to go first, while the other fans had to wait in the back for about 15 minutes for their turn. People who needed to leave early were told to exit through a different route (that was probably far from where Takki was standing).
