My thoughts (*spoilers* behind the cut!):
KYAAAAAAA!!!!! OMG!!!! That last scene…. is the most *dokidoki* scene for me so far!! My heart was beating SO FAST!!!! From the moment Ryuzaki woke up from his dream, grasping Nagisa’s hand… him asking Nagisa to leave him alone, Nagisa talking some sense into him, and… that HUG!!!!! KYAAAAA~~~ I don’t know why but my heart was pounding non-stop, until the end of the episode, so much so that I didn’t even realise what was shown in the preview for next week’s ep.
This episode also made me cry twice… Not bawl like a baby, but you know, tears stuck in the eyes kind of thing lol. First, when Kumakiri hugged his son *sobs* and then again when Aoi-sensei talked to his parents… Also, some of the things Ryuzaki said in this episode made me think a lot… To really protect a person, it’s to make the person stronger, so that when you’re not around, the person can carry on living alone. Why do I get a bad feeling that he’ll end up dead in this drama, so that the people he loves (Nagisa, Aoi sensei) can carry on their lives when he’s gone. Also, by saving Shibata and/or his wife, will it really solve the problem? The entire drama in Shibata’s house will only make Nagisa a stronger person, wouldn’t it?
I think Ryuzaki has only shown his emotions in 2 scenes so far. The first time was in front of Masato at the end of Episode 5. And now, after he had that dream and Nagisa heard him… When he realised Nagisa has seen that side of him, he chased her away. And right after the hug, he seemed to have changed back to the emotionless Ryuzaki again. Even in the flashbacks, the Shinji that was so full of emotions as a small boy – crying so badly when his mom left – became devoid of emotions as an older boy (when he was with Ninomiya). Poor thing~~ don’t you just wanna give him a hug?! (but Nagisa has done that for us, so it’s okay hehe~)

Not like that boy who acted him… Hmm… It’s only a small thing, but from that boy’s look, I can’t picture him growing up to be Ryuzaki at all hahaha… The only thing they got right about that boy was the 2 moles under his left eye!! Lol…
Cwait for Episode 7! Can’t for Azuki’s drawing of that scene too!! XDDDD

I think the 2 moles were just make-up… and I agree with you chibi Ryuzaki should look like your picture.
However, I got a sinking feeling when I read your post, because I have the same premonition (which I devoutly hope is my imagination getting ahead of me) of his dying at the end.
Can you imagine that I am going to be out of the country for the last episode, and, I think, unable to reach a computer till I return 10 days later! I will die of impatience and anguish…and then probably use up a box of tissues…
lol! i also did not notice the preview because of that hug i guess lol!!!! i was waiting for it then suddendly i was shock huh it’s already over lol!! XDXD …
and lol your ryt i cant see the lil boy growing up to be takki XDXD i just cant lol :)) and im even amaze that u noticed the 2moles LOL on that lil boys face haha!!

I dont get it, in ep 5 the ex-cop said Ryuzaki’s mom died and his dead left him, but in ep 6 the show that his mom acttally left him. So still mystery huh?
obviously the ex-cop was lying. when questioned by nagisa as to why ryuzaki was staying with him, he lied that ryuzaki was in his care… but in ep6, he confessed that he abducted ryuzaki from the town for his own selfish purposes.

I ALWAYS look for internet cafes, but sometimes they are hard to find. I have been checking.
I was luckiest in Japan in Takayama, where my hotel was across from the town hall. They had free computers for the public there, and, since it was a partial holiday, only one other gaijin was there!
nearly cried @ Ryuzaki’s expressions when Nagisa pointed the gun at him, and how he looked hurt over seeing her cry before he left. (and what was that “Ore wa…?” he never finished saying something!)
you have to admit Ryo looked cool at the conference. his teacher image is gone!
oh! but I completely loved the image of Ryuzaki and Aoi standing over Sawamura! The fact that Sawamura was at the mercy of both his “secret weapons” ha ha ha ha ha!
I fear for Mio, since Nagisa isn’t reporting to Sawamura, it’d be the best revenge, ne? He’s now become interested in Ryuzaki’s past, so he must be up to finding some way to control him. But I also think Aoi will have to keep an eye on Sawamura as part of tracking Ryuzaki down. At this point, Aoi is the wild card, because he’s finally decided to go his own way… hmm… Kumakiri and his son can’t be completely out of the picture yet either. It seems Sawamura has a lot on his plate, ne?
