Good evening! This is Takizawa Hideaki of Takizawa Denpajou. Well, the week before last, Nishikido, who is co-starring with me in a drama, promised that he would make an appearance again today. Last time, there were various things that we couldn’t get to, however, we were surprisingly able to chat about various topics. For today, I would like the two of us to continue talking about various things, so everyone, please listen until the very end. Well then, let’s go to the first song for tonight. To be released on the 23rd, this is Takizawa Hideaki’s “Hikari Hitotsu”.

T : First, continuing from last-last week’s Summer special, this person has come to play!
R : Good evening! This is Nishikido Ryo! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
T : Oh! You’re in high spirits ne! And you’re here today!
R : I came today!
T : You’re setting the bar high today.
R : Yes, I will try my best!
T : Indeed~ Well, as we go over various topics.
R : Yes.
T : I want us to do the regular corners together too.
R : I understand.
T : First off, in the drama that we’re both working on, with my role as Ryuzaki, I’m able to heal illnesses with a touch of my hand and on the other hand, you can kill people with a touch of your hand. Both our characters are full of mysteries ne.
R : Yes, that’s right.
T : Well now, we’d like to introduce some emails that are related to “hands.”
R : Ok.
T : Nickname, Mint. “Good evening, Tono!”
R : Good evening.
T : Ah, you’re Tono?
R : I’m not, but…
T : You’re not Tono? (laughs)
R : (But I wanted to say) Good evening anyways… (laughs)
T : I appreciate it ne~

T : “I am bad at raising plants, but those who are good at it are apparently called “Owner of a green hand.” They also call them “Green finger.” Tono, you have God’s hands in the drama, but do you also have “green hands?”

T : Green hands… Do you have plants?
R : I’ve done it before.
T : Ah, you have?
R : “Strawberries” on my balcony.
T : Strawberries??
R : Yes, I’ve raised them.
T : Oh~~ then you must have Green hands.
R : Yes, I have a green finger ne.
T : Ne! I don’t at all!
R : You don’t? You don’t even grow spring onions?
T : No, I’ve wanted to give it a try, but it seems kinda tough. Is it tough?
R : It was tough. Insects would bite at my strawberries a lot.
T : Ah~ So it needs constant attention and you have to always keep an eye on them ne.
R : That’s right, yes.
T : Hehhh~~~
R : But they were really delicious.
T : Ah, really? That’s unexpected ne. You seem like the type that would say “That’s bothersome, I’ll pass!”
R : No no no, I gave it water everyday when I was a 3rd grader.
T : HAHAHA That’s cute! You surprisingly have that loyal side to you ne.
R : That’s right. I really liked that kind of stuff ne.
T : That’s an unexpected side of you~
R : Yes.
T : Even though this is about green hands, I heard that your hands actually have a different kind of power. What is it?
R : Ano, my right arm… I broke my right arm twice and my right hand once.
T : Oh!!
R : My little finger ne.
T : Yes yes.
R : Because of this, I can use my left hand.
T : Normally, you are right handed.
R : That’s right.
T : But because you fractured it, you couldn’t use it, so you had to use your left hand…
R : That’s right. That’s why I was able to do all my summer homework with only my left hand.
T : Heh~ Well, does that mean that right now you’re ambidextrous??
R : Right now, I can only use my chopsticks with both.
T : But isn’t that good enough?
R : That’s why it’s really easy for me to eat both curry and ramen at once.
T : No no, that’s not what this is about… (laughs)
R : If you eat curry with your left hand…
T : I’m sure you can… but even if you had both… it’s okay to eat it one at a time.
R : No no…
T : Why would you eat both at the same time?
R : No, don’t you think its more ‘hearty’ that way? Like how…
T : It is, but no one eats like that, right?
R : I do it often!
T : Really??
R : I eat curry and ramen together.
T : Well (laughs) eating both is fine, but (people usually) eat it separately with one hand. Eat the curry first and then the ramen next.
R : Ah~
T : Why would you eat it together?
R : Because aren’t there times where you would go out and eat with someone who doesn’t really talk?
T : Yes yes yes.R : Well as I’m eating with my right hand, I’ll switch over to my left and they’d say “Oh, you can use your left hand?” “Ah, yea. I fractured it before…” “How did you fracture it?” and (conversation) would start from there.

T : Ah~ you’re quite considerate ne.
R : Something like that ne.
T : Heh~ I see. Even though it’s someone you know, it’s often hard to start a conversation, right?
R : That’s right.
T : So you’re the kind that would start the conversation.
R : But the conversation would suddenly end.
T : Ah~ (the topic) would be dropped all of the sudden.
R : Then the conversation wouldn’t go back and forth.
T : Ah~ I see. Dropping the topic all of the sudden…
R : Those kind of people exist, don’t they? Etto… Harada Natsuki-san (in the drama).
T : Yes yes.
R : She and I went on a TV show called “Iromonea” for Orthros promotion.
T : Yes yes yes, I watched that.

R : She was sitting next to me and she had a notebook. We had to wait for a while and during that time, she asked me “When’s your birthday” and I said “Ah, November 3rd.”

T : Hoh~
R : And that was the end of that conversation.
T : What, why!
R : Normally, I would casually ask “When’s yours?” in return.
T : Ah, the other way around. You would’ve said “Harada-san, when is yours?”
R : But I was nervous and didn’t say anything ne.
T : What a shame~
R : Out of politeness, I went home, searched on Wikipedia, and remembered it.
T : Ahahaha Isn’t that bad? She might think “What’s with that guy?” So you two chatted after that?
R : Yes.
T : I see~ Well we have a corner where the listeners will make an appeal about a different skill / talent that they have.
R : I understand.

T : Let’s go to that corner! “I want to talk on the phone with an Orthros person!” This is a corner where the listeners will make an appeal about their special moves or a special ability that’s different from what others have. Now let’s begin. A 19 year old girl called Izuki-chan who lives in Tokyo.

T : Hello!
I : Hello.
T : Good evening!
I : Good evening.
T : Well, Today! Nishikido is also in this studio yo.
I : Yes.
R : Good evening (in a small voice).
I : Good evening~
R : Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
I : Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
T : You sound gloomy (laughs). What do you think? About Nishikido-kun. Have you watched the drama?
I : I’ve been watching it yo.
T : How is it?
I : It’s very interesting. I (always) look forward to the next episode (or a sequel).
T : Oh~!
I : Yes.
T : By the way, what part of it is interesting?
I : Where? Everything about it is interesting.
T : Arara…
R : That was really broad… lol
T : Today, I’d like to do this with Nishikido. This is a corner where people make an appeal of their amazing talents. What kind of amazing talent do you have, Izuki-chan?

(Ok, I realize its already getting really long… so i’m going to just summarize the not-so-important parts and spare everyone from a 6-page-long report XD Anyway…

Izuki-chan said that she teaches traditional Japanese dance, but only to her friends at school. She started taking lessons from the masters when she was 2. Ryo said that traditional dance seems like it’s a really expensive / high class art. Tono asked if she does any stage performances and she said that she has performed at the National Theatre before. Tono was a little disappointed that they couldn’t watch her perform over the radio, but Izuki-chan insisted that she could recite a part of the script from the Anchin Kiyo-Hime folklore (which Takki usually performs in Enbujou))

T : That was amazing ne~
R : Was that a traditional Japanese dance?
I : Ah, in traditional dance, there are lines in the script that sound like they’re from kabuki.
R : Ah, really?
T : Heh~ It has the image of a dance ne.
R : While holding a folding fan ne.
T : Yeah, of course, you can do the dance too, right?
I : Ah, certainly, of course.
T : Now, I want to hear the lines with the dance~ Is there anything else you can do?
I : There is Takiyasha Hime in traditional dance too.
T : That’s good!
I : There are various acts that we do.
T : That’s good! Can you do it now?
I : No, I don’t think I can do Takiyasha.
T : You can’t do it, Sensei?!
R : What the heck!
I : hahaha…
T : Ms. Instructor, you can’t do it?
I : I’m sorry, but it’s a little…
T : You can’t do it right now ne. I see~ But that’s still amazing! An instructor by the age of 19. What do you think about that, Nishikido?
R : That’s right. 19… Ouch!
T : What’s wrong?
R : Something from the chair pinched me.
T : hahahaha…
R : 19 years old ne. You could write that in your resume, right?
T : Iya, that would be really good!
I : Yes I can.
R : But it’s amazing considering that it’s such a rare thing.
T : It is amazing~ that she’s an instructor.
R : Japanese people are awesome~
T : But its nice ne. Even though she’s so young, it’s cool that she’s cherishing Japanese culture. That’s certainly Orthros.
I : Thank you.
T : Ne~ I see, well, please continue working hard as an instructor.
I : Ah, yes, I will.
T : Yes, thank you~ “Arigatou ne” (Takki said it in a kabuki kind of way)
I : Yes, thank you, hahaha…
R : What do I say… it feels like I don’t belong here ^^;
T : hahahaha…
T : Keep up the good work! Thank you!
I : Thank you. Goodbye.

T : That was cool ne~ She’s good ne~
R : Ne~ that was really cool.
T : Ne~ When she did it, I was a little shocked ne~
R : I thought “so that’s what it’s like”.

T : Yea, that was unexpected ne. As I was listening, I had the image of a fan being waved gracefully. Well, this is how we try to introduce these talents. We hope that Izuki-chan will continue to work hard as a traditional Japanese instructor. Izuki-chan, thank you very much. Well then, after this, Nishikido will join me in another regular corner.

T : Well then, let’s continue to the next corner with our guest, Nishikido. “You Yacchaina” Our agency’s president ne…
R : Yes.
T : …would often say to us “YOU have to do it yo”.
R : Yes yes yes.
T : Those kind of unreasonable requests happen often… In this corner, the listeners will give us an unreasonable situation and we’ll have to talk about it.
R : I understand.
T : Let’s begin. Nickname is Pikari. Lives in Osaka.”If I said that you could bring only one thing with you to a deserted island, YOU have to say ‘a credit card!'”♪ YOUやっちゃいな〜 ♪

R : Hmm.
T : Hmm.
R : That’s…
T : *fufufu*
R : I have to say “credit card.” So we’ll have to talk about this?
T : Right right right. Please add onto it, hahaha.
R : Eh, to bring it with me to a deserted island…?
T : By the way, if you were really told that you were going to be taken to a deserted island, what would you bring?
R : Probably pictures.
T : Eh?
R : So I can immerse myself in memories.
T : Pictures? And not a camera?
R : Pictures.
T : You mean ones that have been printed out already?
R : Yea. I would look at pictures of my family and friends.
T : You are such a good guy!
R : I would look at those pictures as I prepare to die.
T : Oh, you would end it there.
R : I’d prepare myself and accept reality.
T : Indeed. You wouldn’t try hard to survive.
R : I probably wouldn’t ne.
T : You should though.
R : Well…
T : Pictures…
R : Probably pictures ne.
T : I see. Because there’s no point in bringing a credit card ne.
R : That’s right.
T : I see. It is unreasonable ne. But I wasn’t expecting you to say pictures. Well then, let’s continue. Their nickname is Milk.”YOU have to tell me how many times you blink in a day.”

♪ YOUやっちゃいな〜 ♪

R : Okay, I know.
T : You know?
R : Well, it’s impossible ne. No one can really count it out.
T : Yea. Do you blink a lot? hahaha.
R : It’s average.
T : Right.
R : Normally, how many times do you do it?
T : Iya, I dunno. What’s the average count? 10,000 to 20,000? That much?! Heh~
R : Ehhhh! 10,000 times!
T : Then you can get pretty tired just by blinking ne.
R : Do you?
T : No, but it would be tiring! To blink 10,000 times…
R : But that’s what we do every day.
T : Well, unconsciously ne.
R : That’s taihen ne.
T : It’s tiring ne.
R : We would definitely need a counter that goes tick-tock-tick-tock.
T : Wouldn’t be able to catch up ne.
R : That’s true ne.

T : On the days that we do blink 20,000 times… that’s really unbelievable ne. Well in this corner, every time we have a guest over, we always ask them to do one thing that’s weird. The last time, the first guest to appear in this corner was Ishihara Satomi-chan and we asked her to split a watermelon with her head (by hitting her head against the melon??).

R : What are you going to make me do?! hahaha.
T : We asked Yama-chan from Nankai Candies to do a challenge with boiled eggs, which he dislikes. This time, we would like Nishikido to do what’s requested in this email from Takki who lives in Tokyo.

“YOU have to leave some kind of present for the listeners”

R : What?!
T : To give something to the listeners… of course, this kind of radio show… everyone… I’m sure you didn’t come empty-handed!
R : Wait a minute.
T : Everyone usually brings in things like delicious cakes and pudding and stuff like that.
R : Yes.
T : So today, we thought that Nishikido must’ve also brought something. Is there anything that you’d like to give as a present to the listeners?
R : I only brought my bag with me today.
T : Eh?
R : This is really all that I have with me.
T : There’s gotta be something else, right? You must’ve prepared something.
R : No, I really didn’t bring anything.
T : No no no no, there’s gotta be something.
R : I can give away my underwear.
T : Underwear is dame! Can’t give away underwear yo.
R : Eh, what do I do, I really don’t have anything.
T : We’re going to put on a song, so in the meanwhile, you can think of what to give.
R : I understand. I will prepare something.
