8 more days until we get to see Dark Hero Takizawa. Just thinking about it gives me the fangirl-goosebumps! Actually i’ll be in class so i wont be able to watch it live (残念っ… 授業をサボるべきか~ lol) So lets hope that the uploaders will be super fast on the 24th!!

Anyways, this is a rough translation of Genba Report #2~

“Praying for a hit!”

　On the afternoon of July 8th, the cast went to a historically-significant temple to pray for Orthros no Inu’s success. Unfortunately, it was raining that day, but many reports and cameramen still gathered around the temple before it was even open. They were eagerly waiting for the cast.

　When the chief priest pounded on the taiko drum, the 9 members of the main cast started coming out one by one : First, Takizawa Hideaki-san, then Nishikido Ryo, Mizukawa Asami, Yaotome Hikaru, Yamamoto Ryuuji, Harada Natsuki, Shiba Toshio, Rokkaku Seiji, and Takahata Atsuko. Then the producer, director, and staff came out together – everyone was on standby with calm expressions on their faces. Maybe because it was such a spiritual place? Even with all the cast, staff, and reporters there, it was still a very serene atmosphere.

　When the time came for the praying to begin, the chief priest said the title of the drama “Orthros no Inu,” followed by the names of people in the cast. He then began praying for the drama’s success and for it to be a major hit.

　During the exorcism, everyone lowered their heads and listened attentively to the praying. Takizawa-san said that during this time, he felt like he gained this strange yet amazing power. Nishikido-san said that he too was trying to take in all of that power that he felt. Seeing how intense the praying was, we certainly hope that nothing will go wrong during the filming and that it will be a success.

　After the exorcism, everyone left the main shrine and gathered outside for a group shot. And with good timing for the shoot, the rain miraculously began to stop. Takizawa-san said, “The weather suddenly became clear. I think it is perhaps a sign that is referring to the success of the show” …or perhaps this was due to some of the power that the two (Takizawa and Nishikido) had gained?!

Everyone made a comment regarding the prayer.

“This is my first time challenging a dark-hero role, but I’m having fun trying to portray such a mysterious character. With everyone’s power, I’d like to work hard until the very end,” said Takizawa-san.

Yaotome, who’s being challenged with his first co-starring job with Takizawa-san, said “I’ve never acted as a character with a bad behavior, so I was really nervous about it, but I will do my best. With so many senpai’s in all the scenes, I get nervous every time.”
