Wanna whack myself for not being able to fully understand the his-mother-her-father-his-father story!! *bish bash bish bash* coz I think that part of the drama was interesting too, judging by the amount of tears romi!Mom and romi!Dad shed altogether! 2 hrs is really too short la~ haiz….
Romi and Juli is a bit like Natsuo and Yuki in Summer Snow? Someone told me last night 2 nights ago (when I first watched it) haaa…. Well, kind of… Yuki was also the police inspector’s daughter who went out with a poor-and-sloppily-dressed bicycle shop owner Natsuo, who drove a van. In R&J, it’s Juli, the daughter of the police inspector, going out with Hiromichi, a recycle shop worker and son of a wanted man, who drove a lorry (with a loudspeaker on top of it, may I add – reminds me of those election time vehicles lol~)
Takki in this show isn’t really a “garbage man”, he doesn’t collect rubbish but old and unwanted stuff like radios, tv sets, spoilt lamps etc instead. He works for a recycle company. In Singapore’s case, you can call it the Garang Guni Man hahahahaha….. No garang guni men here look half as good as that!
I love the part where Takki first appeared, when he saw the little kitten…
The way he looked under the van to see the neko was *kya* kawaii~~~
When he was reading the “O Romeo, Romeo,… Wherefore art thou Romeo”, love his eyes~ *melts* my weakness for those puppyeyes!!
Then the scene at the ramen shop? the chopsticks scene~ quite cute too! But eh, was that the same day which she chased his lorry? Juli runs that fast? Sugoi speedo desu ne…
And the beach scene… His side view looking at the sea~ sunlight reflecting on his eyes… *melts again* kakkoiii!! Takki, please film more modern dramas, pleeaasseee… a 9-11 episodes normal drama, specials like this are way toooo short yo!!! anyway, that kiss at the beach look very romantic coz of the sun setting behind~ loads of this sun thingie in the drama which made it quite a visual pleasure…
Recently, i’ve watched similar kissing scenes too, in HYD :)
The scene at the church… father and son… When Hiromichi was expressing his anger/frustration to his father, although I don’t understand word for word what he said, I felt like maybe there was a bit of the real Takki there heh. And tthe tears… the eyes… OMG, seeing the tears made me weak again… I think that was the best scene, the most memorable scene for me… and when father and son hugged…. Aaaawwwww~~~
Also, one thing i have to mention is the place they filmed~ where the church was~ the bench~ the 2 rows of trees with yellows leaves all over the ground~~ chou kirei.. Where was it filmed?? I wanna go there!!! Very very beautiful~~ See these cute shots of Takki Hiromichi playing with the yellow leaves? ^_^
Takki’s acting was really good ne!! *bows to President* *pachi pachi* But Masami-san was… alright generally, but her voice was chotto annoying ne. Eh, she a bit ‘act cute’ sometimes lei… Eh, why has she changed so much from the Naomi in DZ? I like her a lot DZ~ but not so much in this~ kinda disappointed.. and it doesn’t help that she seem to have grown “chubbier” too, so much so that she’s a bit too big for Takki?? *LOL*
One thing about this drama I love: the visuals… the color~ yellow… blue… the color sets the mood for the scene, and the background music is really nice too…
Ahh… I need a subbed version!!!!! I’ll be so more than willing to do the subbing IF someone can provide me with a full translation~ LOL~~

aahhh…too bad I wouldn’t be able to becuz I have a hard time getting a hold of my Japanese friend, Maiko now. Now that she moved way up north of us (still in SD, mind u) we hardly get together anymore. Hmm…I’m supposed to meet up with Hinako for lunch or dinner this weekend tho. U think I should ask her for translations ne? lol (goodgrief…it’ll be SOOOO much translating though! lol) Every single line? lol :p
omgosh, Mich! O_O Soooo much kirei/good visuals for this story ne?? *uwaaaahh* (i.e. beach scene…minus the ~kissing part~ tho, Hiromichi playing w/the leaves, etc. etc.) And his crying…aawwwww… *melts* Love seein’ him cry like this becuz it makes me wanna cry too now. lol Kinda miss watching doramas like this where Takki cries, aside from Bokumado and others he’s done.
Yesss…totally agree with you that he SHOULD do more modern-type doramas such as R&J!! ^_^ All I can say is ‘Wow’.
So, how were u able to view this? Was this on youtube or clubbox somewhere?? Gosh, and I have to resort to renting this from a Japanese bookstore. =( Didn’t know about viewing this online until Bonnie told me. Can u give me the link to watch this online? Thanks, sis~

love your blog. but is just me, or is the narrator for the story uber annoying? i find that whenever he speaks, the romantic scene between hiromichi and juri is ruined. it’s a great thing tackey is sooo gorgeous, ne, otherwise, i would just change the channel. hahaha. thanks!
