Mori Mitsuko’s butai “Hourouki” has reached its 2000th show. Yesterday was also Mori-san’s 89th birthday. Omedetou~~ It was a busy day for Takki, a live TV appearance in the morning followed by 3 radio show appearances, he was at Imperial Theatre and presented Mori-san with a bouquet of flowers. Matchy-san and Higashiyama-san were also present during the curtain call. News report here.

She seems a very small woman. Older generation Japanese are of course shorter than the younger people.
yea, and Takki has worked with her so many times… in dramas, movie, and butais too. in her recent photo book, there’s a pic of Takki and Mori-san from “Kawa ga nagare you ni” :)
