Takki Tidbits

1) At yesterday’s Marching J event, Takki did not appear on stage until 1 pm. But he showed up in a black leather jacket and BLACK HAIR!! (Picture from Sina blog. Also, Mich is currently not here, so we didn’t get to record the WS shows this morning. But you can find them if you go to Youtube and search “na1031na”)

Apparently, March 11 was Takki’s off day and he was out shopping for furniture when the 9.0 earthquake struck.

Some other interesting news about yesterday’s Marching J event…

Before dawn, people had already started to gather at the venue. At 4:30 am, there were 3,000 people waiting in line. When the venue opened at 6 am, it increased to 8,000 people. The charity event started at 10 am. By 11:30 am, there was 34,000 people. Fans waited in line for more than four hours and at one point, the line was as long as 1 km. Security was strict – with over 400 staff and policemen (from Harajuku and Shibuya) present. A total of 101,000 fans show up at yesterday’s event. Although they will not be revealing the total amount of donations until the beginning of next week, they believe that if every person had donated at least 100 yen, they would have already gathered 10,100,000 yen before 7:30 on the first day of the event.

2) There is a Marching J commercial. They all look the same, but each one has a different voiceover from a different artist. You can check out Takki’s version at Youtube (just search “今僕たちにできること 滝沢秀明”)

3) According to Johnny’s Web, Takki and other Johnny’s artists will be making an appearance on TV Asahi’s “SMAP Ganbarimasu!” on April 2 @ 20:53.
