Press conference for Takki’s recital ONE! ~ THE HISTORY OF TACKEY ~ was held 2 days ago. He looks really good in the clips wor, especially during the closeups~~ Here are just 2 screencaps out of the numerous I’ve freezed framed lol~
Snuffles posted some points that she got from various online articles.
- Takki said how even children can have history when they experience deaths in the family or divorces etc. For himself, his parents divorced when he was still really young.
- Takki was born on a hospital bench. Apparently by the time his mum reached the hospital, all the delivery rooms happened to be full. So they had no choice but to set up for emergency delivery on the bench.
- He will be shown dying as an old man at a park bench (this part I don’t really get it too. Aren’t they only telling his ‘history’, meaning Takki from birth to 24 yrs old?)
- Times were hard after the divorce. He was brought up by his mother and financial situation wasn’t exactly good. His mother used to make gyoza (fried dumplings) with tuna instead of pork cos they didn’t have enough money but Takki was apparently too little to tell the difference then.
- He took one week to write a report about his life, together with inputs from his mother, before submitting it to Johnny Kitagawa.
- Takki said he couldn’t really accept it when his mother remarried and he had to change his surname to “Takizawa” (sou desu ne~ so I guess that’s where his birth name fits in? So… all along we were calling him based on his stepdad’s name! So weird…)
- Although it sounds dark, the recital will not be simply sad and gloomy. Takki just wants to let people know what go through children’s thoughts when they experience events like divorce. And in this way, sends out a message to lonely children and (single) parents, assuring them that they are not alone in this and thus giving them some courage and light. It will show happy moments in Takki’s life too.
- 1st part of show will be about Takki’s history. 2nd part will be about the current man that he is, and showcases the illusions that he learnt during his stint in Vegas.
My japanese is hopeless so I had to snag it almost-wholesale from Snuffles’ blog (Arigatou, Snuffles!). It’s really touching reading it ne… I wish I can see the recital too… *sulks*

but about [MS], i downloaded the whole MS show…and there wasnt much after the opening + the performance. Tsubie left not long after another groups perf…and then there were a few seconds where they zoomed in on Takki’s face (the Daniel Powter talk portion)…and thats basically it vv.
honestly, [MS] is my least fav. show — its just tooooo boring! LOL T&T look bored in it too!! HAHA~

MS and Utawara was boring, the best are the Zubari and Utaban ones. Heyx3 would be good if there’re eng subs :)
i’m dling zubari eng subbed now (only 9kb/s), and hoping to download the TFP2 Satoken show too but the dl for those juz won’t start… 3 more hours to go b4 i knock off from work^^

yeah i\’ve read rumors that it his name was supposed to b …. vv; NO. i just cant accept that! he seriously *LOOKS* too much like a \”Takizawa\” so i cant imagine him w/ any other name~~~ XDD

Know what Mic-chan…I agree w/you re Takki’s ‘original’ last name. It does sound weird other than Takizawa-san, ne? Hmm…and didn’t know his parents were divored. Wow…reminds me of my close friend. She just went through a painful divorce and now she is a single-parent. Now her daughter is father-less. *so sad* She was living here in San Diego where I’m at but, now she moved back to her hometown of Minnesota. (She’s American Korean) I think she probably could relate to Takki’s situation.

haha. no prob, Bonnie! i’ve seen the music-guessing part only, from a clip i downloaded (from takkitsuba_rabu LJ i think). takki’s hands actions and expression was so super kawaii~ i might have a problem understanding hehe.. it’s still not even 1/2 way thru yet.. think i’ve to wait, and be more patient~~
hey reiko-chan, i think it’s hard on both the parents and the child in a divorce situation… seems like many celebs also go thru divorce when they’re young? chilam’s parents divorced too, but got back together after 13 yrs… so sweet ne….
i remember watching a music station 2002 clip (T&T promoting their debut album)~ in the clip, takki said that at first he didn’t get use to the name ‘takki’, and he said ‘because that is what my father is called’… lol. thinking back, he was talking about his stepdad~~

I’m sure this would be another great show. Well, it is expected of any Takizawa Hideaki shows deshou? Coz the zachou expects nothing less specially that it is his own life depicted on it ^_~ I wonder who’s playing Tackey papa and mama on it. They should cast a really good-looking couple there right?! ^^

yea, takki mentioned it on music station 2002… i have a clip which was recorded from channel 8 (goggles) lolz~~ with eng subs. but he juz said tat his (step)dad was called that, he din mention that it’s his ‘stepdad’ or that it was in the ‘office’.
No i meant, the people at the office/company called Takki “Takki”, not called his stepdad “Takki”.

oh ya, PONR juz ended its run on TV rite? lolz. come to tink of it, actually i have an extra set of discs burnt from rmvb that i purchased from someone yrs back when the drama was juz released. some fan asked me to help her buy but end up not taking it lor :( it’s in cantonese~~ if u want, i can give u the whole set wor (actually i’m thinking of a way to dispose of that too la)
