Team outing more than 2 months ago, and as usual, mich is slow to post! This was even before I went to watch Enbujo! LOL… Anyway, it was really a fun outing, our first as a team actually. 2 colleagues from the EMEA team (in UK) were here for 2 weeks. And this is a personal post, so names aren’t revealed to protect the privacy of the innocent mwahahahaha…
It was raining heavily that morning. We were thinking we had to cancel Sentosa for bowling or pool instead. Fortunately, the rain stopped while we were having our lunch @ Sushi Tei @ Vivocity, so we could continue our plan hehe…
And guess what I ordered? hehehehe~~~ Kyon-samaaaa!!
Sou da ne, whenever I go Sushi Tei, I always order their Hiyashi Chuka – I love the sauce they use. N-san ordered that Hotate which was really oishii, but I was forced to eat one entire thing in one mouth! Craziest thing I’ve ever done – apart from any Tono-related stuff hehe ^^ I swear NEVER to do it again!
2 onnas with ‘bendy’ fingers?
G-san & Boss-san tries to bend their fingers too *it’s an internal joke*
T-san & T-san = T&T power saves the day :D
Boss-san looks more than happy to start eating!
Then, the 4 inseparable onnas! We’re not purely co-workers, but co-gossipers, co-shoppers, co-lunchtimekakis, co-everything :)
Then, we took the Sentosa Express over to Sentosa Island. It’s been what 10+ years since I last went there I think. I remember going there in 1997 to see Chilam perform at the musical fountain haha. Of course, Sentosa has changed drastically since… At the monorail station, two silly ya huans decided to take a picture with a flower design on the wall.
And another two silly ya huans decided to give their boss a kick in the *beep*!
Hahahahaha~~ Once we reached the first stop in Sentosa, can’t remember the name of the station (there were only 3 stations anyway), there’s this huge merlion where people can climb to the top of its head (they look like “head lice” from far =P), and we took some pics there.
Boss-san also did a Sir-Stamford-Raffles-like pose LOL. This, ladies and gentlemen, is our GWP APAC Team — a very small but crazy bunch of webmonkeys :)
Boss-san treated us to ice-cream. I had chocolate mint (even though it’s not very “me” to have a flavour like this) :) Then we walked around and decided to try the LUGE ride. We bought a “Hot Deal” (3 times for 18 bucks I think). Each LUGE ride (somewhat like carting) will get you down to the bottom of the hill where the beach is, then you take a Skyride back up to the top.
Getting ready for our first ride…
We are in our carts now…
The ride was quite fun, and it’s downhill, so sometimes it’s a little scary at the bends… You have to pull the handles to break or control the speed :) At the end of the ride, a guy in orange stops the carts from moving lol
After the first ride, we took the skyride up.
At one point, we were afraid our slippers might fall off haha.
And when we finally reached the top again, Boss-san took a shot of us. Yatta!
Later on, we also took a shot of them in return. RGB reminds me of Takitsuba best.
We did it again twice. Down the hill in our carts, then up by the skyride. It was fun ne,and we were taking pics like crazy on the skyride… Then halfway through each skyride, there is an automatic camera that will snap a photo of us. We weren’t aware the first time, so during the second skyride, we posed and got ready, freezing in position. But… Nothing happened!! LOL! When we passed that spot and there wasn’t a flash, boss-san & co. (in the car behind us) laughed! Hmmph! We figured that the camera detects only by human movement! Silly us!! So in our final skyride, we waved our hands and legs and stopped just in time to pose for the camera. We did get a photo taken *yay* and it turns out that boss-san & co. didn’t manage to get theirs taken *laughs back*. Anyway, we decided not to buy the photo in the end coz one of us had her hand covering her face lol…
Anyway, after the ride, we decided to go to the beach. And outside a souvenir shop for the “Songs of the Sea” event, we took a group shot with one of the mascot. And inside the shop, i found these really cute bears! It feels a bit like my all-time favourite bear – Me to You :)
On the way to the beach, we passed by a VIP area where a foam party was going on. But we so innocently walked through the area without buying a ticket ^^ Anyway, it was lovely weather by then~ the sun is shining but not too brightly… and the wet ground has cleared up so it’s not mushy hehe.
These are our LUGE-stamped hands :)
We did stupid poses near the water, forming letters with our bodies. I was made to do the Yumemo furitsuke and spin like Zubaranger LOL. We screamed, laughed, and were really 4 siao cha bos :) Boss-san and the rest were just sitting on the beach watching us go crazy (like we were the kids and they were our parents). It was the first time I really went ‘all out’ to play… usually I’ll be one of those sitting down watching other people play hehe…
Then, we played with a little white dog too, who managed to get his mouth hold on a frisbee. Kinda funny how it just didn’t wanna let go at all, and its owner had to pry open its mouth lol…
We had many cameras that day, so after compiling the images, we found some interesting ones. Footprints in the sand… In the 2nd pic, we found T-san & I-san standing behind on the bridge hehe…
Someone also took a photo of someone taking a photo of someone taking a photo of someone (with two other someones standing on the bridge behind).
We also played the good old “Pepsi Cola 1-2-3”. I was the runner-up, losing only to JT! hahahaha… and we had a game of “Beach Captain’s Ball” too which was tiring as HELL! I can’t run to save my life! And Boss-san was damn good at it, yet he claimed he hasn’t played it before! *liar liar pants on fire* At the end of it, I was tired, perspiring, and my hand was bitten by 3 huge red ants! I only touched that palm tree for a second! Ants are so fast these days lol~
Anyway, it was already 5-6 plus by then (I think, I can’t remember haha), and the sky was turning dark… so we decided to call it a day, and took the monorail back to mainland. That night, I met my mom & brother, and had Coriander Catch @ AMK Hub’s Fish & Co for dinner. Oishii~ ^^;
