My KOI UTAs!!!

I received my discs on Monday, 2 days before the release date! ^^

Boy I love the excitement of opening them one by one, the outer plastic, taking off the paper sleeves, opening the jewel cases, looking at the discs, the background of the discs, and opening the inner-fold papers! and KYAAing to myself! Hahaha~ I used my lousy ketai camera again so the quality of the pics is quite dame heh~

I like it that each version had their own special and unique, consistent “theme”.

For Jacket A, there’s always a tinge of blue, like Tsubasa’s jacket and that blue picture frame thing. Of coz, the inner bonus love letter is blue too. For Jacket B, it’s beige/brown. (Oh I juz realized that this is the same color scheme as the icons I made bwahahahaha! I must be subconsciously thinking of these covers while meddling with my photoshop then lol) Then of course for Jacket C, it’s pink/purple!

That picture that I like from the Koi Uta poster is actually Jacket A’s back cover! And I love Jacket B’s back cover too! All the images this time are nice yo, and the inner ones are all “facing-the-camera” versions of the outer ones. Clever idea! It’s like when you open the CDs, T&T are staring at you~ ho~ho~ho~

And I got to mention the texture of the lyrics paper. Avex has definitely improved on that~ It’s matt and a little textured, such that it’s hard to get fingerprint marks on it hehe… I like that. And I also have to mention that the DVD menus are very pretty too~ much nicer than the Premium DVDs lol! I’m really starting to get addicted to the karaoke version of Koi Uta (that’s playing in Jacket A’s DVD menu).

JACKET A (KOI VERSION – CD+DVD LIMITED)

The bonus “love-letter” lyrics is blue, and although a very simple 2 fold thing, it’s pretty, the words are on single-lines, with simple prints on the corners (and a little “AVCD-…” at the bottom — to prove that it is an Avex item afterall LOL). Disc 1 is silver, while Disc 2 is white. And I think the background of the jewel case is flowers/table/curtains.

Mini-drama (bonus for Jacket A):

A 20min drama and a first where they have equally important lead roles. In fact, I think the girl has more screen time, since she’s always appearing with either of them?! I like the girl though, she’s not fantastically pretty, but pleasing to the eye. And she can act :) Even the two little kids are cute! Chibi!Shinji is really funny, his expressions haha… All the Angel!Tono parts were slow, since he’s always with the girl and the girl is blind, so she walks and does things slowly LOL. But still, I love that scene where we finally see Tono with HIS own wings (AZUKI has psychic powers once again~ LOL!) Hahahaa~~

T&T appear at the same time in only 2 scenes – one rainy, one sunny. And I think Tsubasa’s acting has improved, especially the rain scene! NOT the running one, but the scene at the end where he blows the balloon lol… And the girl is pretty when she finally smiles (actually I liked the part where she cried too after walking through Tono!) Ah, on that… Tono… when he couldn’t hug her, he looked SO SAD!! Wanna give him a hug!!!!!! I really miss Takki dramas ne…

And as I knew the ending before I watched it, it sorta killed the show for me a little. But still… MY FAVOURITE SCENE IS THE VERY LAST SCENE OF THE DRAMA!!!!! I LOVE THAT SCENE SO MUCH!!! I dunno why, it’s nothing really special, right? But I love it, from the moment Tsubasa and the girl walked towards us, then Tono’s cute butt swaying, Tono turning his head – that expression when he looked at them – and finally, my favourite part –> Tono turning his head back and slowmo-ed walking away, along with the background music. A very nice ending! ^^

JACKET B (UTA VERSION – CD+DVD LIMITED)

About the cover, the real thing looks nicer than on pictures. The original music sheet is folded and slotted inside the lyrics paper. Paper is thick, but a pity it’s not a piano score sheet!! Sigh~~~ Anyway, Disc 1 is silver, and Disc 2 is white, like Jacket A :) I think the background of the jewel case is coffee/table/plants.

Koi Uta Utaban Music Clip (bonus for Jacket B):

The bonus feature for this jacket is the Koi Uta acoustic version MV. This music clip itself does not contain scenes from the drama. It’s purely T&T in their white/greyish outfits (like on the cover) singing against the white background, plus a guy playing the guitar (who also appeared in the drama, I think). The song itself is an acoustic version which is very pretty, if you hear the stereo effect with your earphones, the guitar’s very nice~~ (different feel from the original), and the MV has many beautiful – and sad – shots of the boys, plus rain…. I especially love these ones:

The PV we saw the other day is a combination of footages from this MV (from Jacket B) plus drama (from Jacket A).

JACKET C (REGULAR EDITION)

The disc inside is very pretty pink/purple~ and there is that lovely image of T&T in front of the bookshelf — the “facing-the-front” version of the back of Jacket A. I love this jacket a lot!

The Songs:

1. Koi Uta (Drama “Osen” Ending Theme)
Love this song, ever since hearing that tiny bit at the end of “Osen” Ep 1! This is probably my favourite T&T song that’s released as a single.

2. PROGRESS (Waseda Academy CM)
A catchy tune. Liked it when I first heard the radio rip too.

3. Yakusoku~Last~ (first sang during Kuricon@Yokohama’07) **
Now we have 3 Yakusokus! When I listen to this, memories of Kuricon’s pink/green/yellow & purple/black/yellow “dasai” outfits *lol* start coming back.

4. GLORY DAYS (Wii Family Skii CM) **
KAWAII!!!!! This is the shocking one for me~ Totally didn’t expect it at all haha. From what was heard from the Wii CMs so far, this song was only so-so…. BUT… hearing it from the CD, ah~ I LOVE IT. It’s such a cute song, cute tune, cute voices lol. This is my 2nd favourite song from this single, after Koi Uta of course. And yes, I like it more than PROGRESS or Yakusoku~Last~. I might be the only one feeling this way, but I juz found the song cute.

5. Koi Uta (karaoke) **
REALLY LOVE THIS ONE. I dunno what else to say but… lovely music!!
I can play it on repeat mode the whole day lol.

6. PROGRESS (karaoke) **
Nothing special since it’s only a karaoke version.

Mich’s Favourite Jacket Cover Award:

Umm… I REALLY love the images used for Jacket A’s cover., and the sepia-theme used for Jacket B’s. But… this award goes to… Jacket C!!! Hehehehe~ Am I weird? ^^ I love that little teardrop at the bottom of the jewel case’s sleeve. And the cover is simple, but pretty. The fonts chosen are simple and nice, and they are placed right smack in the middle with a yellow teardrop in the ‘Uta’ kanji. Simple design, but my favourite XDDDD
