This morning’s Mezamashi (Fuji TV) had Takki’s comment on “Ai Kakumei”. He was wearing the same as in Waratte Iitomo’s Telephone Shocking, so it must be recorded only yesterday. Here’s my recording:
I wish I can do more for Takki… I think most of the public don’t even know that such a single exists. It’s like.. there’s almost no promo of it outside the Johnnys world. And it’s only a few more days left before the all-important first week sales results. To be honest, I’m worried… If you haven’t bought it yet for whatever reason, PLEASE BUY!! If you need help to buy, I can help you if you stay in Singapore XD

that’s right mich. even in johnny’s kingdom many people don’t know about this single, especially for fans who are only following certain unit/idol, so what can we expect from the outsiders? the outside promotion is almost zero if not -ve. avex really got an F from me this time, even if they have to repeat the paper, they will still get an F from me.
i’m scared to death right now! i don’t know how else i can help him. if only i can sponsor him and build big billboards all over Japan and buy every big advertisement spaces in every media… *sigh* i’ll do the world, the universe for him if i can… how can we spread takki’s love wider to the world? i always think about it…
yea, no billboards, no posters in train stations or inside trains. avex shud really learn a thing or two from ishihara pro. i’m pissed coz they only had so few copies of the event edition single for sale! many of us would have bought more IF they had more for sale :(
i don’t know, mich. i just couldn’t trust and believe in avex anymore… it has been more than 6 years we entrust the golden boy in their hands. they’re just wasting him! if only he’s in some other places, he may be the top star of the companies.
look at his short term with ishihara pro. they really drilled it up! and the result, a very decent rating where it’s really hard to even reach 14% or 15% rating nowadays. and kokuchisezu got like more than 20% national average rating! that’s the power of takki, avex is just so stupid for not using it at the full potential…
I agree with both of you. Truly Ishihara Pro did a super job. I think publicity is extremely important. So-so people are made into stars that way, so think of the renown and sales Takki could have. Some billboards are train stations and in the subway could have a tremendous effect.
They should also make his Cds more available overseas. Many people who are not “into Japan” never hear of what is going on. If they promoted some of their stuff through Amazon.us and the other online sellers, I think the sky would be the limit. As it is, only Utada Hikaru is widely available. I couldn’t even find Takki or T&T on iTunes.us!
I will keep praying and keeping my fingers crossed.
oh, now the sp edition singles can be purchased at the theatre. it’s great that they’re releasing it for sale again there. but i dun think they’ll ever make these CDs widely available overseas. in a way, it makes these discs special.
Hi! I’m new here. I really3x want to buy Takki’s stuff but then it is really hard to find especially here in the Philippines. I want to buy his CDs in the net but I have to use my credit card. The problem is it is an extension to my father’s coz I can’t get one yet. I have to have an income but what can I do, i’m still a student! :( They should extend their market to other countries because he does have a lot of fans around the world. My friend who is not into Japanese men, particularly asian men, even said he is really handsome when she first saw him.
By the way, thank you so much for this site. It gave me updates on Takki!
