It came in a big box, loads of wasted space. Because of that, the corners of the calendar box were slightly dented. And I so stupidly bent the sticker on the front while opening the plastic! And of ALL places, the bent was on Takki’s face!
T&T 07-08 Calendar: Futari de OO
Love the cover of the calendar. And all the baseball/soccer/skateboard pics inside!
The photobooks are opposites (in many aspects — read on~~), one is supposed to be flipped from left to right, while the other is flipped from right to left.
The images are all soooo cute!! I love how this calendar turned out! It’s a different feel from the previous publishers, and I really like this one (not that I din like the previous ones. those were sugoi too but the past calendars are usually not as nice as the extras that came with it.) — This one captured all their cutest moments in the calendar!! Kinda wish they’d stick with this publisher from now on…
Ok, while I was flipping the calendar, I was in the living room, so I was like “KYAAA”, “SOOO CUTTTEE”, “OMMGGGG” in front of my brothers (again)!! LOL… I don’t really care coz they must be so used to it by now! :)
The offshots were really really cute too~~~ but why are the pics soooo small?!

Then I looked at the Tsubasa photobook (produced by Takki). My first reaction? “Looks damn familiar!! Where have I seen it before????” And then it struck me –> TAKKURICON PAMPHLET!!! Doesn’t it have that kind of feel? Especially the first half of the photobook? The trees, white jacket, the angle of the shots, then the sea, the waves, white jacket again, the sun ray??
The shots are stylish and beautiful, with minimal color used (monotone, duotone, sepia), rather Tsubasa-ish. Scenery and backdrop played a big part. I like the first and last shot of Tsubasa standing in the middle of the black page, with a beam of light shone down on him (somehow reminds me of Mr. Bean!). But my favourite shots are the ones with the sea! Imai-san, the sea isn’t THAT big in those pics ^_^
Moment
Finally, I looked at the Takki photobook (produced by Tsubasa). KKKYYAAAA~~~ SO CUTE!! *pinchTAKKIpinch* Tsubasa portrayed everyday life Takki — shopping, eating, walking, in an outdoor environment with people in it~ the lady at the shop, the students at the playground etc… (vs the “quiet” and “serene” feel of Tsubasa’s photobook). It is very colorful… (vs Tsubasa’s photobook). It has the most kawaii Takki moments here ^_^
LOVE those shots of Takki in the bathrobe, in the bedroom, lying on the bed, and flying in mid-air *LOL*. And Tsubasa was in bathrobes too, taking pictures of Takki… But not all the photos were taken by Tsubasa desho? coz he appeared in the photobook too?? lol~
Now for the eye candies:
The chopsticks picture is so cute!!!!! Takki’s expression is priceless!! And that Tsubasa shot just reminds me so much of Takkuricon pamphlet :) Oh ya, I also love the backview shot of Takki eating hehe… His backview looks so yummy wahahahahahaha~~~~
My favourite shots from each photobook!!! Both photobooks are so different in style desho? Reflects the two of them, their difference in style, personality etc etc.
They each wrote some words about the other on the last page…

Okay, for the 2nd line, I think what Tsubasa is trying to say is that the pictures of Takki in the photobook is like a memory of NOW. In the future, when Takki looks back on this book and reads it again, it can be a memory of what they experienced together, so whatever feeling Takki gets from reading it again, Tsubasa will be happy.
I am so so awashed in Tsubasa’s words now that I cannot think straight…
Maaaa, yappari, I love this guy to bits.
BTW, I’ll be translating what Takki says of Tsubasa next (hopefully I can understand what he’s trying to say) and then slowly the offshots dialogue at the end of the calendar – futari de OO – there were some really cute stuff being said there. Heh.. ^___^

About Takki’s feet….okay, I know this sounds strange but I had told Sarah that his feet don’t look like I would think someone who dances & runs like him would look. To me his feet look like baby’s feet…you know how their toes are all round and close to the balls of the feet? Not that they are not lovely little toes & feet :p I just always think of him as having slender feet with toes that are longer than his actually are…and I have no idea why I am blabbering on about Takki’s feet O_o
I would agree with most of what Tsubasa said about him….but I will have to work on figuring out what he means by penguin LOL maybe he is referring to all those little looks he makes with his mouth (see Kyon)
Tsubasa can be such a deep guy and his humor can be dry and/or subtle. He never ceases to amaze and/or amuse me.

Sarah, unfortunately, Kinokuniya has already stopped taking orders for the calendars. The day I ordered my 2nd copy last month was the deadline for doing so.
BUT you can still call them and ask if anyone has forfeited their order (though this is unlikely since T&T fans are basically, in Takki’s words “maniacs”). ^^;;;
hee, i had my fair share of drooling for this post of yours,mich and of coz,no doubt..ribi’s nice translation of tsu’s thoughts 4 takki. (= i wonder if he writes a journal…definitly much more chim n deep than takki’s keke..why cz of takki’s takiren.. muahaha..all juz bout food,weather…how r u etc..so funny =p
