This is the first time I’m working on my bday. Usually I’ll take leave ^^; This is also the first time there isn’t really a special celebration on the actual day. I’ll be celebrating with my family only on Thurs after my bro’s exams~ All I wanted to eat today is lamb chop ne, have been thinking about it the whole day~~ looking forward to dinner! (Btw, if you don’t know, EATING is my hobby keke~~^^) Last night, we agreed that my bf will buy back a packet of lamb chops for me and black pepper crab for himself from the coffeeshop below his house.
But all the lambs seem to be on strike today.
The day went fine, with loads of bday msgs from everyone, RL and OL *ARIGATO* My big boss came with a box of donuts. My boss emailed to wish me, my colleagues wished me, and even some of my team members (whom I’ve never met) from UK sent me email greetings. My colleague (the Hyde fan :D) gave me a USB Flash Cup Warmer~ ^^ And there weren’t many tasks to do today~
Then he called me when I was leaving the office and told me that he suddenly remembered that the western food store might be closed today. Yappari, when I reached the coffeeshop, it was really closed ne~ Ok, so we tried calling his sister who might be able to buy on the way back, but she didn’t pick up the phone coz she was driving… By the time she checked her phone, she was already at home…
So I told my bf to stop over at some nearby coffeeshops (he was on the bus) to die-die get a box of lamb chops for me lol~ He checked out both coffeeshops there but none had western food stalls… *murphy’s law* So he came back to the coffeeshop below his house to buy his black pepper crab. Called me to ask if I can have Indian mutton soup or mutton chops instead. I said I’m fine as long as there’s mutton or lamb (which tastes similar to me anyway, still the same “family” ahem as me lol~). But the store guy told him that their mutton’s sold out today *bangs wall* Then he checked with the zi cha store (coz I don’t mind eating just simple fried mutton pieces lol~), and the lady said they have beef, venison, pork, chicken, fish… everything but mutton or lamb.
I GIVE UP. LOL.
I settle for black pepper crab :D
[EDIT:] 11.12pm~ I got my lamb chops!!! Ureshii~^^ He wanted to ‘conquer Murphy’s Law’ so we borrowed his sis’ car, and drove to Bedok Central juz to buy that box of lamb chops back to share for supper lol~ Gonna eat it before the day is over! ^^ And maybe watch an episode of Kyon at the same time too~ :D It’s really easy to make me happy ne~ (^~^)*12 thoughts on “Where did all the lambs go?”

Things seem to happen in life like that sometimes — when you really want something is usually the time when you don’t/can’t get it and vice versa.
It’s like me and the internet connection here — I always seem to get it when I don’t need it, but as soon as I DO need it, for like research — it goes out. >:I
