[Scans] Eye-Ai 07/2008

I think I’ve linked to scans of this before, but since I’m running out of cover mags to scan lol~ I’ve decided to add my 2 issues of Eye-Ai to the gallery! Although black & white, they chose good images. And best of all, it’s written in English :)

Takizawa Enbujo’08 remains the #1 butai to date that left me most in awe right after watching it live :) I’ll post the Takirev one tomorrow. And note that there are some errors in some of the info of this article, but generally I feel it’s still a good read.

Noren
At the entrance of my dressing room, I’ve always been hanging this noren* which was given to me by Mori Mitsuko-san back when I did the stage play “Mask”. This noren has a pink base, and white wordings “Takizawa Hideaki-sama from Mori-Mitsuko” and I’ve already been using it for more than 10 years.

* noren: traditional Japanese fabric dividers, which usually have one or more vertical slits cut from the bottom to nearly the top of the fabric, allowing for easier passage or viewing.

Minamoto Yoshitsune
Because not only Takizawa fans, but Yoshitsune fans will also be here, if this item can bring out feelings like “I’ve waited long for this!”, I’ll be happy ne. Indeed, after I acted in Taiga drama Yoshitsune, my body has naturally started to respond to the word “Yoshitsune”. I’ve also gathered information on the internet by myself, and the screensaver on my mobile phone now is Yoshitsune yo (laughs). In fact, this time there was such a discussion – “How about graduating once from Yoshitsune, and challenging a different role”. But there are many people who started to like me because of this figure called Yoshitsune. Not only me, but for fans who weren’t exposed to period dramas before too, there are many who, with this Yoshitsune as a start, become aware of the magnificence of things like period dramas and Japanese culture. And the other way round, there are people who first watched “Yoshitsune” and because of that, have become my fans. Minamoto Yoshitsune is an important person who has created such “encounters” for me. He’ll continue to be a valuable person, and I sincerely hope to be like this role.

Takki Tidbits

Takki’s hair is brown in Popolo May’09 . He visits Kamakura’s Manpukuji temple, where Irene and I visited last yr during our Enbujo’08 trip. There are many little cute pictures of him ne, like him trying to lift the stone ^^ In Myojo May’09, the photoshoot was done more recently as his hair is already black (his current hair color). There’s a pic of him *hadaka* in the onsen!! Both issues are about Enbujo’09 XD

Takizawa Enbujo’08 DVD Taiwan Press (AVJDV561402) was released on 18th March. There are chinese subtitles for all 3 discs. Some music stores online ship the DVD out of Taiwan. Anyone from Singapore wanna share the shipping cost with us? Send mich an email (web@takki.us) if you do.

Yesterday was Takki’s mother’s birthday. Happy belated birthday, Yayoi-mama! Thanks for giving the world such a great man hehe~ And the countdown starts…
